Team Set to Take on the USA Cycling Team Time Trial National Championships
In combination with the USA Cycling Pro Criterium National Championships, Greenville, SC will host the Pro Team Time Trial Championships on April 19th. The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team will line up with strong men’s and women’s squads to challenge some of the best in the world for the title of the American national team time trial champions.
The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team spent a week in Asheville, NC at a dedicated team time trial training camp preparing for this race. Both the men’s and women’s squads had the opportunity to perform testing on the track and road with new time trial-specific equipment from many of the team’s sponsors. Dialing in all of the details, including equipment selection and set-up, bike fit, rider order, and strategy, can be imperatively important in achieving an optimal team time trial performance. With UCI Team Time Trial World Championships on the horizon later this year in Richmond, Virginia, the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team and their sponsors have invested the time, research, and preparation to achieve the best possible result on Sunday.
This unique USA Cycling event is contested by American-registered teams, regardless of individual nationality. For this reason, Team UnitedHealthcare has selected strong squads filled with domestic talent as well as international stars. The time trial discipline is a mental feat as much as physical challenge. Teamwork, strategy, and communication will be absolutely key to success for the UnitedHealthcare Blue Train when the race begins.
