Eaton and Putt Help Out Boys and Girls Club of San Diego
This year before the Amgen Tour of California kicked off in San Diego, Tanner Putt and Daniel Eaton made a pit stop on behalf of UnitedHealthcare, to The Ron Roberts Family Branch of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego.
Daniel and Tanner discussed nutrition, the benefits of exercise and bike safety with nearly 100 children at the event. They also signed autographs and demonstrated how to properly wear the helmets, as part of a public service campaign to encourage kids and adults to wear helmets when riding bikes.
We had a great afternoon spending teaching kids about the importance of safety and nutrition in everyday life. Thank you to UnitedHealthcare for giving us the opportunity to bring awareness to our sport. We started riding bikes at this age, so its fun encouraging kids to love bikes as much as we do.
