In the Community – Velo and Vines ride
Earlier in June, Daniel Eaton and Chris Jones had the privilege of attending the The Second Annual UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation Velo and Vines Century Ride in Healdsburg, CA. The UnitedHealthcare Children’s Foundation (UHCCF) is a 501© (3) charitable organization that provides medical grants to help children gain access to health- related services not covered, or not fully covered, by their family’s commercial health insurance plan.
Healdsburg is nestled in the heart of Sonoma Wine Country with well over 100 wineries within a 30-mile radius. The 100-mile ride took 100 riders including Chris and Daniel, through vineyards, over the Russian River and through Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley. After the ride, there was an exclusive post-ride celebration featuring wonderful wine, amazing food and great music.
Daniel and Chris concluded after the event, “Velo and vines was a great event and ride. It was great to see people so enthusiastic about helping and donating to such an important cause. The Velo and Vines ride was the perfect way to spend a Saturday; cruising the beautiful roads of the Napa Valley while raising funds for the UHCCF.”
