Bike to the Park
In August, John Murphy traded his bike and became a professional baseball player for the day. Just kidding! John learned he better just stick to cycling! John had the privilege of leading the “Bike to the Park” ride presented by the Chattanooga Lookout Baseball Team and UnitedHealthcare. Several people gathered for a short ride before the game to the stadium that John led. Once at the stadium, John signed autographs and even got to throw out the first pitch!
John had this to say after the event, “Bike to the Park is a great way to combine two sports- cycling and baseball- with one goal in mind, to stay active and healthy. I was honored to be able to lead the ride on behalf of UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team. Once I got to the field, I was nervous about throwing the first pitch! I injured by ribs less than a week ago and wasn’t sure if I could make it to home plate. Luckily, I made it to home plate, but decided to stick to cycling!”
