Jones finishes top five at ATB Tour of Alberta opener
JASPER, Alberta – The UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling team took the start of the fifth edition of the ATB Tour of Alberta today for 165 km of racing around beautiful Jasper, Alberta. Chris Jones was the best placed finisher from the team, claiming fourth place atop the 11km Marmot Basin climb.
Jones finished 30 seconds behind winner Evan Huffman (Rally). Lachlan Norris and Jonny Clarke came across the line together in the top 20.
“We’re off to a promising start to the Tour of Alberta,” UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team Director Hendrik Redant said. “The plan was to get into the move of the day, which we did. Chris did a fantastic job on the final climb and got us into the top five. We look forward to the remaining days of racing and hope to pull out a stage win.”
