Bike Helmet Donation and Health and Safety talk at Howe Elementary
Friday, May 18th Luke Keough met with local communities partners including UnitedHealthcare and the Sacramento Sheriff’s office to help distribute bike helmets and talk about health and safety at Howe Elementary School in Sacramento, California.
Keough, along with UnitedHealthcare CEO Steve Nelson attended the event. The day was a great success, with dozens of 3rd grade students learning about how to live a healthy lifestyle and safely navigate their communities on two wheels. Working with local partners like this is part of the reason we are proud to represent UnitedHealthcare and their commitment to sustaining life-long relationships built on healthy living.

On Friday, May 18th, the @sacramento_sal and @chpnorthsac partnered with @unitedhealthcare (UHC) at Howe Avenue Elementary to educate 3rd graders on bike safety, just in time for summer vacation! In recognition of May being National Bike Safety Month, students were encouraged to stay active through exercise and good nutrition while following road safety rules. All the third graders were provided with their own bicycle helmets, courtesy of UHC, which they personally decorated at crafting stations. Sheriff Deputies and CHP Officers helped students properly fit their helmets while going over general bike safety tips. A CHP Motor Officer even brought his cool motorcycle for show and tell! Additionally, @samiscircuit and @uhcprocycling team representative, Luke Keough, taught about nutrition and benefits of regular exercise. We were so happy to be apart of this fun and educational experience!
