Momentum Sports Group owns and operates one of the most successful professional cycling teams in the sport, the UnitedHealthcare Pro Cycling Team. The Team raced as “Health Net Pro Cycling Team Presented by Maxxis” from 2003-2008 and “OUCH! Pro Cycling Team Presented by Maxxis” in 2009. Gregory R. Raifman, Chairman & CEO

Mr. Raifman is the Founder, Chairman and CEO of Momentum Sports Group, LLC. Mr. Raifman is also the Founder, Chairman & CEO of Dragon Media Online, Inc., a performance-based online media company that owns “Careers.org,” one of the leading career advancement sites. He has worked or associated with many of the key venture capitalists or investment managers that target technology investing. Prior to founding Dragon Media Online, Mr. Raifman founded and served as the Chairman, CEO and President of Mediaplex, Inc.,a publicly traded NASDAQ company (“MPLX”) that developed many of the initial ad serving technologies for the Internet ad space that are still used 10 years later. Mediaplex grew from a startup to a $4 billion market cap in less than four years and ultimately merged with ValueClick, Inc.

Prior to Mediaplex, Mr. Raifman, who specializes in early and emerging stage growth companies, founded PointBreak Ventures, LLC, a venture capital firm that founded or invested in several other Internet pioneers, including GlobalCast, TimeShift, Internet Extra Corporation, MindSource, Sandpiper Networks, Good Technology, and The Internet Mall/SHOPNOW. Co-Founder of Momentum Sports Group, Attias owns and operates Cycle Sports, voted one of the top-20 bicycle retail businesses in the U.S., and a leading specialist in the San Francisco Bay Area of top quality products and state-of-the-art bike fit evaluation services. Through this business, he has been able to develop and nurture long-term relationships with a wide variety and distinguished list of outstanding companies in the bicycle industry, many of whom have become strong partners of Momentum Sports Group teams over the years. He also co-founded Upland Sports Group, the exclusive distributor of the highly acclaimed Capo cycling apparel label.

Wesley Mallette, VP Communications & Events

Wes is responsible for managing all aspects of media relations, internal and external communications, sponsor engagement activities and Team events. He also works with our sponsors and external partners to provide media and website content.

Mike is the Team’s general manager and director. He is responsible for all team logistics pertaining to racing, as well as directing the team during races. He is also responsible for all rider relations and contracts.
